Default Old monk player comming back... plz help!

Hey all!

Well title states my situation very well I have started playing again after a looong break and now I want my monk to heal... problem is it was built as a 55hp and nothing else... or maybe it was and I gave away my gear... w/e

Now I have the armor and runes but I look hella stupid with my hands empty... I'm looking for some good collector weapon set or staff if that's possible and what mod I should give prior to over others. Again, the purpose is to heal in PvE.

Thanks in advance for the help, gotta say I needed it...

Which mods you give priority to depends on the skills you choose to use. What build are you planning to run at the moment?

personaly id have sets

1) Healing Rod + Healing Ankh (normal +12e) for general useage ( you can swap with +1 20% if you wish but i refer quicker casting time)

2)Healing Rod Healing Ankh the +15e with -1regain) for when you get low on energy

until you get "good" at monking id keep these to sets then once you consider yourself "good" id go with low energy (25e) mid energy (35e) and high energy (45e+) sets.

also imo protection > or is it < (the one for pwns:P) healing

I still like the healer/proter 2 monk backline for PvE, so healing is good.

Scar Eaters are cheap and abundant; grab one asap for your main set. But do what olly123 suggests and start grabbing other weapons. Nightfall weapons are inscribable now, so once you have 3 of each for prot, DF and HP, you'll be set forever pretty much.

The symbols < and > are the 'Greater Than' and 'Less Than' sybmols.

X is Greater than Y = X>Y ; X is Less Than Y= X<Y

However most people would usualy just stick to using > and moving the words in the correct spots. It goes from Left to Right, so take something and compare it X - Y and if you like X make it X>Y , Cheesburgers > Hamburgers, My Mom's Lasagna > Your Mom's Pizza, etc. And to coincide with the food theme thing of the little symbol as a mouth thats hungry for food, and its open mouth is always reaching for the better food, his back turned to the stuff that it doesn't want.

Hope that helps explain it,

Cheers!

If you are a healer, I can only recommend one staff and that is the Divine Ghostly Staff, which is a Nightfall Domain of Anguish green weapon. Sure, it's pretty hard to come by, but I found it really increased the effectiveness of my healing Monk tenfold.

As my 7th grade teacher said. The alligator always wants to eat the bigger number. Might have been 6th grade, hmm.

Anywys. I would look at a Scar Eater if you want a straight heal bar. Stick with a WoH bar till you get a rythm back, then worry about protect oe hybrid. i think a Scar Eater is about 4k now, sad since i paid 10k a while back.

PM me in game I may have a staff you can buy cheap. i can get to all areas of GW. IGN Monk Pink

I made a Monk purely for 55ing. When it died with the AoE/AI changes a while back, I deleted him and remade a prettier one for healing.

I now run with a few sets.

+5e Sword, +30hp, Shield (+30 with extra armor vs Fire)
+5e Axe, 20% enchantment mod, Shield (same as above)
+5e Sword, +30hp, +12 Energy Offhand
+5e Axe, 20% enchantment mod, +12 Energy Offhand

I don't have energy issues. I'm working on getting a +15/-1 set going, but I lost the stupid offhand I got when capping from the Divert Hexes boss in the Desolation.

I also run with full Radiant, Minor (not Superior) runes for Prot and Heal (2 headpieces). I have been playing my Monk around 6 months, so she has all the major Monk elites capped, with all heroes maxed and unlocked. It means I can play either Prot or Heal and run my heroes on whatever I'm not. Works nicely.
